Taste a World of Difference in the Wines of Portugal
Wines of Portugal invites you to their Annual Wine Tasting in San Francisco on Monday April 5th, 2010. You don’t want to miss this unique tasting because you can truly discover the diversity of Portugal, with more than 150 wines, from the dry reds of Bairrada to the delicious whites of the Minho, and from the newly renamed Tejo and Lisbon regions to the progressive offerings from Alentjo and Duoro.
The event starts at 5pm. Light appetizers will be served, so don’t worry about getting hungry after a hard day of work (and too tipsy after a few glasses of Vinho Verde).
Marcia “the tablehopper” Gagliardi will be in the house to sign her new book, The Tablehopper’s Guide to Dining and Drinking in San Francisco. The first 150 consumers to purchase tickets online will also get a free copy of her book at the door ($16 value). It’s quite the package deal for only $35.
Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein will also be available to sign his brand-new book, Daring Pairings. Both book signings are from 5pm-7pm, and copies of both books will be available for sale on site as well.
Not only will you get to taste a fabulous array of wines, you will also be doing your part to support Meals on Wheels of San Francisco. 100% of all proceeds from ticket sales will go to Meals on Wheels of San Francisco, Inc.
Tickets are only $35 if purchased at least a day before the event date (up until April 4th); $50 if purchased at the door. First 150 online ticket purchases will get the new tablehopper book FREE ($16 value), so hop to it!
