Taste Your Way Around the West at the Fifth Annual San Francisco Cocktail Week
Raise your glass and get ready for the fifth annual San Francisco Cocktail Week on September 19th-25th, 2011! The weeklong schedule is jam-packed with special parties, seminars, cocktail crawls, dinners, festive galas, and more. Come celebrate the best of what the Bay Area has to offer and our city’s role in national cocktail culture.
Kick off the week with the Bar Crawl featuring Charbay and The Purfect Purée of Napa Valley, hitting Union Square’s best bars, or the Opening Night Party with Anchor Distilling Co., a showcase of their international portfolio of artisanal spirits and liqueurs. Continue rocking through the week at main events including Shaker & Flask with Cocktail Lab, showcasing the scientific side of cocktails and molecular mixology; the East Bay Showdown in Oakland with some of the best East Bay mixologists who will face off to create the tastiest cocktails; the Best of the West party with seven guest bartenders from San Diego to Vancouver who will rep their city cocktail-style; the Barbary Coast Bazaar that will celebrate all things bizarre and delicious in a fantastical night of cocktails from San Francisco’s best bars with appetizers and carnival curiosities; the first annual Legends Awards dinner celebrating true cocktail innovators, influencers, mentors, and historians, complete with tableside cocktails and burlesque dancers; and the St. George Spirits Bathtub Gin BBQ—an afternoon of sun, spirits, and fire-grilled snacks.
