Taste a World of Difference in the Wines of Portugal
Wines of Portugal invites you to their Annual Wine Tasting in San Francisco on Wednesday April 6th, 2011. You don’t want to miss this unique tasting because you can truly discover the diversity of Portugal—with more than 150 wines—from the dry reds of Bairrada to the delicious whites of the Minho, and from the newly renamed Tejo and Lisbon regions to the progressive offerings from Alentjo and Duoro.
The Grand Tasting starts at 5:30pm. Iberian appetizers (check out the menu!) will be served, so don’t worry about getting hungry after a hard day of work (and too tipsy after a few glasses of Vinho Verde). There will also be a Master Class at 6pm, entitled, “Modern Portugal: Explore Contemporary Approaches, Classic Grapes and Exciting Wines,” featuring a selection of ten wines from eight regions.
Not only will you get to taste a fabulous array of wines, you will also be doing your part to support Meals on Wheels of San Francisco. 100% of all proceeds from ticket sales will go to Meals on Wheels of San Francisco, Inc.
Tickets are only $35 for the grand tasting if purchased online at least a day before the event date (up until April 5th); $50 cash-only if purchased at the door. If you are interested in the Master Class with Master Sommelier Keith Goldston at 6pm-7pm, tickets for the Master Class AND the Grand Tasting are at $50 if purchased online at least a day before the event date; $65 cash only if purchased at the door. There are only 45 seats for the Master Class, so order now if you would like to attend the Master Class.
