Calling all film and food lovers! Here’s your chance to enter to win tickets to the 2018 SFFILM Festival, which runs April 4th-17th in venues all over SF, Oakland, and Berkeley! You have two chances to win tickets to two amazing documentaries about food and the people who make it.
One winner will get a pair of tickets for the world premiere screening of Ulam: Main Dish on Saturday April 7th at 4:30pm at the Dolby Theatre. Ulam: Main Dish is an exploration of the rise of the Filipino food movement in the U.S. Director Alexandra Cuerdo and subjects Alvin Cailan and Chase Valencia are expected to attend. Q&A to follow.
The second winner gets one pair of tickets to the first screening of Chef Flynn on Monday April 9th at 6pm at the SFMOMA. Chef Flynn tells the story of young Flynn McGarry, who at age 19 is working to open his NYC pop-up. This screening is in collaboration with the team behind the highly anticipated new SF restaurant Avery. Director Cameron Yates and subjects Flynn McGarry and Meg McGarry are expected to attend, as well as Matthew Mako and Rodney Wages from Avery. Q&A to follow.
