Wine country was full of food media sightings, all in town for the CIA Worlds of Flavor Conference (this year’s theme was street food/comfort food). Ruth Reichl and LA’s Jonathan Gold and Laurie Ochoa were spotted having the spaghettini with tripe at Terra; Ruth Reichl also went to Meadowood, Jonathan Gold was at ubuntu (inspiring my favorite Tweet: “When Ubuntu waiter confessed he was a sunchoke guy, I refrained from saying I was a pork belly guy. I think he knew.”), and Rick Bayless dined at Bottega.
Since we’re on the topic of food folks, the fabulous Lidia Bastianich was at Poggio.
