The Willie’s World blog reports MC Hammer had a birthday bash this past weekend for 300 guests at the Fairmont’s Tonga Room. Willie shares: “Half of them were in white suits, white ties and white shoes, which apparently is a Hammer thing.” Hopefully no one dressed in white had an incident with the pu pu platters.

According to a tweet, MC Hammer was in Bluestem Brasserie last night. He was holding court with a friend for four hours, and was seen eating one of pastry chef James Ormsby’s “cookie jars” for dessert with hot tea.

It’s been too damn long since I’ve had an MC Hammer sighting, but fortunately 4505 Meats spotted him at the Eat Real Fest over the weekend, so now I relax. Been wondering when he was going to pop up again—I was way overdue for some Hammertime.

Nothing makes my week like an MC Hammer sighting. Both will.i.am and MC Hammer had dinner in the private dining room upstairs at Waterbar with several tech titans, including Biz Stone (Twitter) and others. Managing partner Pete Sittnick, ever the prankster, exclaimed, “You can’t touch this” when he went to shake Hammer’s hand. will.i.am was reportedly wearing a chain link “murse” (man purse) with an American Flag on it, and both waved and greeted fans on the patio as they walked in.
