Dodging for Lunch
June 26, 2012
Last Tuesday, just hours before the Oakland A’s shut out the L.A. Dodgers in the teams’ series opener, the Dodgers’ No. 3 hitter, Matt Kemp, who was sidelined due to a hamstring injury, was seen having lunch at Bluestem Brasserie with agent and former A’s pitcher, Dave Stewart. Kemp had the grass-fed steak sandwich. (Oakland native Stewart is best known for his first-rate pitching during the 1989 World Series, which earned him the MVP honor.)
Baseball Players on the Town

A couple ball players around town: a reader reports seeing Barry Bonds at Pluto’s in the Marina (no word if he asked for any “extras” on his salad), and LA Dodger Matt Kemp had lunch earlier last week at Puccini & Pinetti. From what the diners in the restaurant said, he was dining alone, had a bottle of sparkling water, and the restaurant’s chicken panino (he even opted for a green salad on the side instead of the French fries).
