A tablehopper tweeter let me know she spotted Julia Roberts at Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch in St. Helena this past Saturday having lunch.
A cryptic tweet from @bluebottleroast also alludes to a potential sighting here in the city.
Serious Star Wattage on Saturday at Quince

For a B-list town, Saturday night at Quince was very Us Weekly-worthy: Julia Roberts came in to celebrate her birthday with friends and her husband—the staff said she was as polite as she is beautiful (in other words, very).
Also that evening, Kate Bosworth dined in the restaurant, believed to be accompanied by her new boyfriend—director Michael Polish—but the identity of her dining companion is unconfirmed.

According to this HuffPo post, it looks like it was quite the feast for the Eat, Pray, Love cast at The French Laundry (the menu is included in the post). Which means, yes, Julia Roberts was included in that dining posse, and hottie Javier Bardem.
Seems the press (E!, Extra, etc.) didn’t do too shabby either: on Thursday night, chef Michael Chiarello hosted a huge dinner for 180 on the lawn at his restaurant Bottega, and recreated some of the dishes in the book.
