Beach boy Gerard Butler, who is starring in the upcoming Of Men and Mavericks, and the Iron Cross film crew visited the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company last night until 11:30pm, along with some local big wave surfers, including Grant Washburn. Mr. Butler is a fan of chef Gaston Alfaro’s fresh seafood sampler and oysters, which he consumed while seated in front of the fireplace in the bar.

A tweet from Liam Mayclem informs us that Gerard Butler is still in Half Moon Bay, wrapping up the Mavericks surfer movie this week. Butler has been witnessed in and around The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay over the last few weeks…. Mayclem tweets: “Gerard Butler is in da house & people are FREAKIN’ out. He’s just a SCOTTISH movie star!” Oy.
I asked Mayclem for more details, and he said in an email to me: “Meantime I ran into him in the elevator yesterday at RitzHMB…. one couple went running after him when they realized it was him and left their luggage behind in the elevator.” Oh, people.
The Latest Sightings at Twenty Five Lusk

Gerard Butler (300, The Phantom of the Opera)—who is busy filming Of Men and Mavericks in Santa Cruz—came in to Twenty Five Lusk for dinner. He met a friend at the downstairs lounge before ascending upstairs for dinner (the pork loin and grilled flat iron steak were on the table, among other dishes). He was also spotted at the Redwood Room on another evening celebrating his 42nd birthday (via People).
Another special guest: on Friday night, Dhani Jones, former NFL Football player (NY Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints) and host of his own show Around the World with Dhani Jones, was spotted dining in the restaurant.

Actor Gerard Butler (300, The Phantom of the Opera) was spotted dining at Mezzaluna in Half Moon Bay with another man, while (apparently) reading scripts. He is reportedly in the area shooting a movie between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay. My spotter said, “His hair was longer than normal and he is really tall.” And hot. (My words.)
