Back for the first time in, well, far too long is forageSF’s much-anticipated UNDERGROUND MARKET. Join favorite vendors new and old this Thursday June 28th at Public Works, and you might be part of a historic moment. At 9pm this Thursday, the Kickstarter campaign for Forage Kitchen will end: if they haven’t raised $150,000 by then (they’re at just over $100K), it all goes poof. That means you can make the difference just by attending since all the money raised during the market will go toward the Kickstarter campaign.
And did we mention the Date Auction yet? Yeah, the Date Auction means you get to bid on fun activities with local chefs and other food folks, like a ramen tour of the South Bay with Hapa Ramen, a Vietnamese tasting tour of SF with Rice Paper Scissors, and abalone diving with forageSF’s own Iso Rabins. It starts at 8pm, so you’ll wanna get in there early if you want a chance to bid and win.
All food items will be $5 or less, and all vendors will have passed Health Department muster (for those who get their undergarments in a bunch over these things). Check out the likes of Biscuit Bender, Casa de Chocolates, Rice Paper Scissors, Boffo Cart (Italian), Frozen Kuhsterd, The Cookie Department, Homeroom, Suite Foods, Bread Srsly (no gluten ingredients), Mission Cheese, Grilled Cheese Guy, Jerk Chicken, Canvas Underground, Chile Lindo, and more. While you’re munching, enjoy music from The Human Condition (live bluegrass), DJ Hubcap Jones, and others.
$10 cash at the door. Pledge to Kickstarter at $35 and up, and get in free (bring your confirmation). 5pm-10pm. 161 Erie St. between Mission and 14th Sts.
