This event sounds awesome: “chefs Gayle Pirie and John Clark of Foreign Cinema will be hosting a Parsi-inspired dinner with ~NILOUFER ICHAPORIA KING~, author of the newly released cookbook My Bombay Kitchen. Both an a la carte and a prix-fixe menu will be available for the evening. Dishes may include items such as pumpkin crescents with fresh curry leaf, and a lacquered squab with pomegranate molasses, persimmon, escarole, and pomegranate salad. The special menu will showcase the flavors of traditional and modern Parsi cuisine, and King will be on-hand to share insights on this constantly evolving cuisine and sign copies of her cookbook.
As the first book published in the U.S. on Parsi food written by a Parsi, My Bombay Kitchen takes a fresh and idiosyncratic look at one of India’s most remarkable regional cuisines, highlighting classic and contemporary recipes interspersed with the author’s narratives."
