From September 26th to October 1st, top San Francisco chefs and restaurants are going to be hosting some fantastic international talent for a series of high-end tasting menu dinners, plus there’s a nightclub-style food event at Fort Mason on September 30th. Tastemaker Collective has paired Dominique Crenn, Chad Robertson, Gabriela Cámara, Daniel Patterson, and Evan Rich with chefs from Paris, London, and Hong Kong, plus top bartenders too.
A couple of the dinners are sold out, but here are some events where you can still snag a seat (you can take a look here) and be sure to read below for a special tablehopper discount on all events:
Cala: On Wednesday September 27th (seatings at 6pm, 9pm), Cala’s Gabriela Cámara teams up with Paris’ Juan Arbelaez of Nubé and Rafael Gomes of Grand Cœur. They will meld modern Mexican, Colombian, Brazilian, and French influences in a seafood-centric experience at Cala, focused on sustainability and local sourcing. The multicourse tasting menu ($160) features optional wine and spirit parings ($120).
Rich Table: On Thursday September 28th (seatings from 5:30pm-9pm), Evan Rich joins the chef and co-owner of Hong Kong’s Yardbird, Matt Abergel, who will soon open his first U.S. restaurant, Birdyard, in Los Angeles. Look for a modern izakaya-meets-California cuisine style, served in a relaxed, multicourse, family-style meal. It’s accompanied by Hall wine parings, all for $250.
Tartine Manufactory: On Friday September 29th (seatings from 5:30pm-9pm), Chad Robertson and London’s Michelin-starred chef James Lowe of Lyle’s, a London favorite, will prepare a seasonally focused dinner. Look for some spectacular wine pairings, all from female winemakers, lovingly assembled by Vinny Eng. The multicourse dinner (including wine parings) is $250.

Can’t pony up for a dinner experience? Well, you are still in luck, because on Saturday September 30th is the Tastemaker Collective Fort Mason party with bites and cocktails served at a high-energy, late-night event, plus demos, music, and dancing. Chefs from the Tastemaker Collective dining series will be preparing dishes—including Juan Arbelaez, Rafael Gomes, James Lowe, Matt Abergel, Dominique Crenn, and Sven Chartier (Saturne/Clown Bar, Paris). Some additional chefs will also be joining the party, such as Michael Cimarusti (Los Angeles’ Providence) and Jennifer Puccio (of Big Night Restaurant Group’s Marlowe, Leo’s Oyster Bar, Park Tavern, The Cavalier, Petit Marlowe).
There will be cooking demos and cocktail pairings by Diageo Reserve’s World Class bartenders, an interactive Bartender Battle series, and more. The party runs from 9pm-1am. Fortunately Illycaffè will be there to keep you caffeinated. See you there!
Tickets for Tastemaker Collective Fort Mason are $47.50 each, and they’re going up to $75 each after midnight tonight, but tablehopper readers get 30% off with code THOPPER. Yeah, who loves ya? And I’d snap those tickets up tonight before the price goes up.
This is the inaugural Tastemaker Collective, which will be launching in 6-10 cities after the San Francisco premiere. Follow along on Instagram and Facebook.
