On Friday November 22nd, catch the 13TH ANNUAL TASTE AND TRIBUTE GALA, a benefit for the Tibetan Aid Project, an organization committed to preserving and strengthening the spiritual heritage of Tibet. A grand total of 22 Bay Area chefs participate in the event, where they are put in pairs and work together to prepare dishes next to each table. This year’s chefs include Nick Balla, Cortney Burns, Joanne Weir, and Dmitry Elperin—check out the full lineup here. I attended the event last year, and it’s very heartfelt and moving.
Wine will flow freely (peek at participating wineries here), of course, and it all happens at the fabulous Four Seasons. The evening begins at 5:30pm with a silent auction and Champagne reception, and dinner is at 7pm, along with a live auction. Tickets start at $350 per person, and sponsorships are also available. 757 Market St. at 3rd St., 800-338-4238.
