The fifth annual SUGAR RUSH is coming on Thursday November 15th. The event is primarily a dessert and wine tasting, although there will be some savory treats offered this year as well. Look out for offerings from Humphry Slocombe, Recchiuti Confections, Tout Sweet Pâtisserie, and Delfina, to name just a few. There will also be open beer and wine bars, so it should be a pretty darn good time.
There will be live and silent auctions, and a wine raffle. The whole event will be held at the Sir Francis Drake, and all proceeds will benefit Spark, a national nonprofit that connects professionals with middle school students from disadvantaged communities in workplace apprenticeships to “spark” their potential. It all begins at 7:30pm, or at 7pm for a VIP cocktail reception. Tickets are $75 in advance, or $85 at the door, and VIP tickets are $125 in advance or $135 at the door. 450 Powell St. at Sutter, 415-626-5470 ext. 110.
