On Sunday October 24th, top Bay Area chefs, restaurants, and wineries are coming together for the “BAY FOR THE GULF” GALA at the Rosewood Sand Hill, Menlo Park, in support of the Save Our Gulf initiative. Marché executive chef Guillaume Bienaimé is organizing this fundraiser gala featuring top-notch cuisine and fine beverages.
More than a dozen chefs, artisans, and wineries will participate in Bay for the Gulf, including Marché, Madera, Manresa, chef Robbie Lewis (Oracle), Andante Dairy, Prima Sausage, pastry chef Carl Swanson (Ubuntu), and Baia Nicchia. Wine selections will be provided by Varner Wines, Ridge Vineyards, Far Niente, Dolce, Nickel & Nickel, and Coterie Cellars. Guests will also enjoy a beautiful 16-acre setting with fragrant gardens and stunning views of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
A silent auction will be held featuring lots with airline tickets, rare wines, and dining experiences. Guests of honor include Tracy Kuhns and Michael Roberts, both Louisiana Bayoukeepers, and Casi Callaway, executive director and Baykeeper of Mobile Baykeeper.
Tickets are $150. The event marks the six-month anniversary of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil disaster that devastated the Gulf of Mexico and the surrounding wetlands. Funds raised will benefit Waterkeeper® Alliance’s Save Our Gulf initiative, and will support the seven Gulf Coast Waterkeepers directly impacted by the oil spill.
