Next week, you can watch some wine programming with chutzpah at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF). The Arts and Ideas program hosts a bunch of pretty cool discussions on food, wine, and how to enjoy it, including this one. On Wednesday November 14th, join Eric Asimov for a workshop called “How to Love Wine.” Ha! As if you needed any help. That’s okay, though. Asimov recently wrote a book by the same name, and currently works as chief wine critic for The New York Times—he’ll be in conversation with Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein, so you’ll definitely learn something interesting. The event begins at 7pm and tickets (type in “Asimov” in the search box) are $25 for the general public, $20 for members, and $15 for students. Just prepare yourself for a ridiculous service fee ($7.50! Why?). JCCSF, 3200 California St. at Presidio.
