On Thursday March 28th, join Jasmine Hirsch of Hirsch Vineyards at ~FOREIGN CINEMA~ for a special tasting, where she’ll be playing sommelier for the evening. Glasses and bottles of Hirsch’s 2010 (San Andreas) and 2011 (Bohan Dillon) pinot noir will be available for purchase, as well as a 2011 chardonnay. The price per glass varies, and a flight of all three wines will also be available for $32. ~ACQUERELLO~ is going to be hosting Dan Petroski (Massican) and Tyler Thomas (Donelan) on Thursday March 28th—two fab California winemakers who also made wines exclusively for the restaurant. In addition to a preview of the recently bottled 2012 Massican sauvignon blanc “Acquerello,” this dinner will serve as the official release party for the 2010 syrah “Acquerello.” Guests will also taste a wide variety of other offerings from both wineries. The evening will start with a standing reception at 6:30pm, followed by a sit-down dinner at 7pm. $165, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Limited to 20 guests.
Catch winemakers Jonathan and Susan Pey of Scenic Root Winegrowers (which includes Pey-Marin Vineyards) on Sunday March 24th at LINCOLN PARK in San Anselmo. Flights of the pair’s Marin wines will be available for $12 for three or $15 for five, and there will be some small bites available (like wild mushroom and leek risotto cake) to pair with the wines, plus dessert.
