Grab that baguette and wine glass, because it’s that time of the year: the return of the ZINFANDEL ADVOCATES AND PRODUCERS FESTIVAL to San Francisco, otherwise known as the ZAP festival. This is ZAP’s 20th year, and it all kicks off on Thursday January 27th with the Good Eats & Zinfandel Pairing (6pm-9pm) at the Herbst Pavilion at Ft. Mason Center. Tickets for this walkaround tasting of 50 wines paired with 50 restaurants are $140 ($100 for ZAP members).
There are a couple other events, but the big one is the Grand Zinfandel Tasting on Saturday January 29th, at the Herbst and Festival Pavilions at Ft. Mason Center. Open to the public from 2pm-5pm. Get ready to see a lot of purple teeth. Tickets are $70 ($60 for ZAP members, and an entrance time of 1pm).
