THE COCKTAIL BILL BOOTHBY CENTER FOR THE BEVERAGE ARTS is hosting an event on January 27th with the 2010 Master Distiller of the Year, Jim Rutledge. As the Four Roses Master Distiller, Rutledge will be sharing what it takes to make a good bourbon (he’s been doing it for 40 years, so expect some stories!) at this tasting of Four Roses Bourbon (guests will taste Four Roses Yellow Label, Limited Edition, and Small Batch Four Roses Bourbon, plus a special cocktail prepared for the occasion). 6pm-8pm. Tickets are $35. There are only 40 seats. Proceeds go to support the work of the BCCAC (Barbary Coast Conservancy of the American Cocktail) and the future of The Boothby Center. 1161 Mission St. Suite 120 at Julia (between 7th and 8th St.).
