Up in Petaluma, there’s a new brewery pumping out IPA. 101 NORTH has opened their doors, and they are serving their first beer, Heroine IPA. The project comes from cofounder and brewmaster Joel Johnson, who earned his stripes at Bear Republic Brewing up in Healdsburg. Their new location in Petaluma is just around the corner from Lagunitas, too, so they definitely get points for gutsiness. This venture currently only offers the one beer, and it should start appearing on shelves during the holidays. In the meantime, you can also find Heroine IPA on draft at Tee Off Bar and Grill here in the city, or at Sprenger’s Tap Room in Santa Rosa. The brewery is open to the public on Fridays only, from 1pm-5pm. 1304 Scott St. Suite D, at Holm, Petaluma, 707-778-8384.
