I ran into Amanda Michael at a party—she’s the founder of JANE, the popular café on Upper Fillmore—and learned she is opening a second Jane in the Tenderloin. The location was previously home to a bookstore, and she hopes to open the café before the end of February. The offerings will be very similar to the Fillmore location, with Stumptown coffee, and soups, salads, and sandwiches that tend to the healthier side. The layout will also be similar, with tables in the front, and the counter toward the back, but the décor will be a bit simpler for this location. I’ll share some pics once the opening date is locked. Hours will be daily 7am-6pm. 925 Larkin St. at Geary.
