Damn, we really can’t have nice things. I was so dismayed to see how things have completely imploded over at NOOSH, with a terrible conflict between the owner (John Litz) and the two executive chef-owners (Laura and Sayat Ozyilmaz). Litz is suing them, has locked them out, temporarily closed the restaurant, installed Emily Luchetti as culinary advisor, and employees don’t know what to do and what’s next.
Meanwhile, the talented Laura and Sayat allege they have been wrongfully accused (and locked out) and claim that Litz has threatened them in the past. There is a fundraiser for them to get help with legal representation, and for now, they have retained control of the @nooshsf account as their mouthpiece.
You can read the whole sordid mess in these pieces in the Chronicle, and on Eater. So sad to have one of the most delicious restaurants in the city suddenly fall apart like this. Stay tuned. 2001 Fillmore St. at Pine.
