And just like that, the new takers of the soon-to-close Luella location on Russian Hill are revealed to be Jason Kirmse and Cyrick Hia of Fat Angel, who are partnering with Ryan Cole, previously a GM at Michael Mina. Scoop announces the project is to be called STONES THROW, with Jason Halverson as chef (he was an executive sous chef at Mina). The team plans to offer a neighborhood vibe and good value, but with all the Mina training, you know many details will be dialed in. And with Fat Angel’s involvement, the beer will be damn good.
