A reader writes in that the THE SANDWICH SHOP in Dogpatch is closing its doors on September 26th. The bare-bones neighborhood joint apparently got a rent hike from their landlord, but reportedly they are looking for a new location. 635 19th St. at Tennessee.
We also got word that old-school hofbrau CHICK N COOP in the Excelsior has closed. It seems as though the business was for sale, but because of an uncertain lease situation, they closed instead. Bwok. 4500 Mission St. at Excelsior.
