For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been hearing some rumblings about potential changes to ~JASPER’S CORNER TAP~, specifically relating to the fate of the talented bar team there. It ends up there was a recent ownership change with the Hotel Serrano, although Kimpton has a long history managing that restaurant location—they have been the management company since 2000 (remember Ponzu?). I spoke with Kimpton’s regional director of PR, Jamie Law, and she said there is nothing definite or decided that they can report at this time, but for now, it’s business as usual, with Kevin Diedrich still in place as the bar manager. Kimpton is currently talking with the new ownership company about the restaurant, and once there’s something to report, I’ll let you know. There is some uncertainty, yes, but for now, it’s all conjecture until we hear something definite.
